Hi Rick,  My husband and I are visiting a friend in CR. We stayed at Casa de Rick from April 11th - 15th. It was AMAZING! I haven't been that relaxed in I don't know how long!!!!!  I do photography in Vancouver and took some shots of the beach house with my wide angle. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the house, the surf, and the entire experience of Playa Negra.  The people at the hotel were very accommodating.  Renan, Chi Chi and the rest of the folks there were all very helpful.  Judy was great, always willing to help out or asking if we needed anything.  The surfing was very good and very consistent.  The house is in the perfect spot.  Can't wait to return.  Thanks for all your help.  C.M.

We just arrived home and wanted to take a quick moment to thank you and our management staff.  Our stay at A Surfers Dream House was more than advertised and we all felt like we were living in a dream of a house.  The property is magnificent and the architecture is brilliant.  As a decent surfer, I couldn't have asked for better placement and the ability to see every wave helped in knowing the perfect time to go out surfing.  I could honestly go on forever but to keep a long story short.  THANK YOU.  C.B.

Your place is absolutely perfect! We had the most wonderful time. The waves were always there, much larger the first 4-5 days, and the boys loved Playa Negra and Avellanas for surfing. I will share some great photos with you soon. Still recovering from the trip, back to work which is tough. We plan on returning to your place. It's not fun coming back to the states. We miss the crashing ocean and the blowing winds. The swell was epic nearly non-stop for three weeks. Our family had the best time. No phones, tv. etc.. The house is in great shape and everything worked great. Thank you so much  and we are already planning for next year. Now it's time to adapt back to life in the states - T. D.

"We would all like to extend our gratitude to you for sharing your fantastic home with us.  We enjoyed every minute of our time in Costa Rica, from sunning ourselves on the beach, to the bananas flambé at the hotel, to joking around with the guys perpetually hanging out at the general store on the corner. (The could not believe how much guaro y fresca we kept picking up).  We loved (and made great use of) both hammocks and all the rocking chairs.  Renan from the hotel was invaluable, and made us feel at ease right away.  No fruit stand was safe from our greedy clutches...every morning I would cut up watermelon, cantelope, mango and the best pineapple I've ever had (and I have been to West Africa).  After that start to our day, our list of must-do activities dwindled to

1. Sit on the porch

2. Swim/Surf in the ocean -  at least 3 times a day and

3. Who's getting the Imperial tonight!

For the most part, we just hung around and did nothing, And it was fabulous

"Saying that things worked out would be a gross understatement.  You have one of the truly remarkable set-ups in the world; you house is amazing.  The area is amazing.  The staff at the hotel were great, even the weather was near perfect.  Surf wise, we got a couple of days in the 5-7 ft range and a couple in the 3-6, probably too much south but a ton of fun all the same.  We're already trying to work out when we can get back down and thank you for extending us the privilege of staying at A Surfers Dream."  M.K.
